Summer Volunteer Opportunities

Have you seen all the ways to get involved with Second Chance Foods?

Our Volunteers are Essential

Extraordinary volunteers are the backbone of Second Chance Foods; without them, over 1 million pounds of food would have gone to waste! That’s why it doesn’t matter if you only have a few hours once, twice, or give time regularly – you can nourish our neighbors and make a real difference in our community.

Did you know? Only some of our volunteer opportunities are cooking-related – and even on cooking days, we need helpers to do essential jobs that don’t use knives or hot stoves!

The opportunities listed below are just some of the options for getting involved! Review all the possibilities and sign up here. Or, contact our Volunteer Coordinator, Heather, to learn more about signing up as a corporate or special group.

“I've only been there twice, but I have never seen a harder working and more pleasant group of people. It was an honor to work alongside you and watch you perform a small miracle in a few hours." -Second Chance Foods Volunteer
