Frequently Asked Questions

Corporate matching gift programs are a form of giving back in which organizations financially match donations that their employees make to nonprofit organizations. Many companies match employees’, retirees’, and employees’ spouses’ charitable contributions on both monetary donations and volunteer hours. Matching gifts help build community relationships and furthers the impact made by employee contributions.

Use our online tool to see if your company offers a matching gift program. Most larger companies offer this benefit. If you don’t see your employer above, check with your HR team about starting a matching gift program.

If you don’t see your employer listed, it’s best to check in with your Human Resources or Social Responsibility team. Your company may still offer a matching gift program or other ways of giving back. If they do not already have a program, our team can help start the conversation!

Many companies match employees’, retirees’, and employees’ spouses’ charitable contributions on both monetary donations and volunteer hours. Check your company’s matching gift program for specifics.

It depends! Companies offer different matches. Some will match your exact donation up to a certain dollar amount, and others will match at a higher rate. Check your company’s guidelines for information.

Most companies will match a gift made any time within the calendar year. But it’s best to check your company profile to see if they have other restrictions.

We’d love to talk to them about the best way to get involved. We offer Corporate Volunteer Days, Event Sponsorships, and are always open to new and creative ways of partnering with our community. Reach out to Maggy Keet, Director of Mission Growth to learn more.

Though we wish we could supply food to everyone in need, Second Chance Foods cannot provide meals or groceries directly to individuals. Our solution is to collaborate with existing programs in the community and supplement their food with our meals and groceries. If you or someone you know is in need of assistance, please refer to our resource page here for our partnerships and local options.
